NOTICE OF MEETING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Ventura Regional Sanitation District Board of Directors will hold a SPECIAL MEETING on Tuesday July 1, 2025 at 8:30 a.m. at the Ventura Regional Sanitation District office, 4105 W. Gonzalez Road, Oxnard, California. The business to be transacted is as follows:

AGENDA

The Board agenda is posted at least 24 hours preceding the Board Regular meeting, and contains all items on which Board action will be allowed pursuant to Government Code Section 54956. Action will be taken on unanticipated items only when an emergency (as defined in Government Code Section 54956.5) exists or as otherwise allowed under Government Code Section 54954.2(b). 3.	Agenda Review  (General Manager/ Board of Directors) Consider and approve, by majority vote, minor revisions to the Board agenda items or related attachments and any item added to, removed from, or continued from the Board agenda.

Public Comment (Items not on the agenda – 5 minute limit)Opportunity for members of the public to briefly address the Board on items NOT on the agenda, In accordance with Government Code Section 54953(a). Persons wishing to comment on agenda items should email their comments (preferably before the meeting) to the Clerk at clerk@vrsd.com. The Clerk will then read them into the record at the appropriate time.

REGULAR SESSION (Items 5 and 6

Consider Changing the Position Title of Mr. Pete Chartier from Water/Wastewater Superintendent to Water/Wastewater Operator IV with No Reduction in Salary or Benefits; and Approve Recruiting a Water/Wastewater Superintendent Approve changing the position title of Mr. Pete Chartier from Water/Wastewater Superintendent to Water/Wastewater Operator IV with no reduction in pay or benefits. Approve recruiting a Water/Wastewater Superintendent.

Consider and Approve Proposed Termination Agreement and Release of Onsite Wastewater Treatment Service Agreement by and Between Ventura Regional Sanitation District and Malibu Bay Club Approve, and Authorize the Chairperson to sign, the Termination Agreement and Release of Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) between the Ventura Regional Sanitation District and Malibu Bay Club. Direct VRSD staff to continue to collect funds through real property assessments of the Malibu Bay Club parcels for the payment of the Installment Sales Agreement through the Ventura County Tax Roll as administered by the Treasurer-Tax Collector of the County of Ventura. Authorize VRSD staff to pay off the full balance owed on the Installment Sales Agreement estimated to be approximately $373,450 and transfer ownership of the OWTS to Malibu Bay Club.

It is the intention of the Ventura Regional Sanitation District to meet in closed session to consider the following item:

PUBLIC EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT

Government Code section 54957, subdivision (b) Title:  General Manager Closed session meeting with Fred Wilson, Ralph Anderson & Associates, to provide direction to him and staff on next steps for the employment agreement with proposed new General Manager.

ADJOURNMENT: Adjourn to Regular Meeting to be held July 17, 8:30 a.m. at the Ventura Regional Sanitation District office.
